Poem – The Lost Little Child

Dedicated to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

21/1/2019

A childhood that was stolen away.

Raped of the very essense of dignity & joy.

Embarrassed & laughed at because of the colour of their skin,

Abused & tortured until there was no more pain.

Crippled and desfigured by the words & the moment,

Beaten and left till no more tears were left.

Crushed and stamped on by thoughts of so many,

Bullied and taunted by the emotionally insane.

Deceit & lies were part of their lives,

Hoplessness & defenseless became their way,

A life of struggle & strife,

Of misery and pain where-ever they looked.

Left to starve in a World of plenty,

Left unheard  till the last gasping breath,

Crippled and wrinkled & scars of a Life.

No matter how much it rains there is always a silver lining! No matter how much it rains there is always a silver lining!

Reaching out for comfort or a

Warm tender smile,

Reaching out for love or an

Embrassing hug,

Reaching out for compassion or a

Kind tender word,

Reaching out, Reaching out, Reaching out,

The Lost little Child-     By Natasha

"Our story does not define us but our actions will.” When faced with difficult choices in Life, some of our beliefs, self-sabotaging ideas we have about ourselves and others in our relationships will challenge us to take charge. Some will rise and take charge, whilst others will need a helping hand with The Power of Words Collection in english and spanish.
