Times Times Times Los Tiempos Los Tiempos Los Tiempos

Time, Time, Time,

Times when people lived in darkness,

Times when people roamed the wild,

Times when people savagely hunted,

An eye for an eye,

A tooth for a tooth,

Now only bones remain,

World treasures behind glass casings,

Each one reclaiming what was stolen,

Never returned.

Times when nature was our medicine,

The elements and spices,

Aromas and essences,

The fruitful discovery,

Petals, berries, leaves,

Sticks and gems,

Now the very medicine,

Under attack, as crops,

Natural resources waste away,

Burnt by the sun, frozen by the cold,

Drowned by the tsunamis and hurricanes.

Times when the ocean was a gift,

A holiday and escape to paradise,

As the children built castles in the sand,

Played with the pebbles making ripples,

Enjoy the seagulls, pelicans as they watched them dive,

The creatures great and small,

The multi-coloured fishes,

Corals and hidden patterns of the past,

Buried below the oceans.

Times when the rivers were allowed to breathe,

As the child cups his hands to refresh,

His thirst, to wash away the dust,

Revitalise his eyes,

Smooth the heat of a laborious day,

Now we watch them drink poison,

Bathe in muddy rivers,

Die from incredible illness.

Where did the time go?

Times, times, times.

Tiempo, Tiempo, Tiempo,
