Does it take a hurricane to shake our lives? Can we see beyond the clouds? Who was there? … Category 4/5 2005

Pregnant with a 7th month baby and two small boys as we huddled underneath a bunk bed, read stories by candlelight and splashed in the flower fountain inside …

Eventually, the memories close, like the eye of a hurricane, we no longer remember the traumas, the people who left empty spaces, or lightening, rain and winds that hurled us to the ground, snapped branches, mountains of leaves and brokean glass shattered as it touched the ground.

She lost a day … but as the clouds disappeared only blue skies remained, a spirit of sunshine that lights even the cloudiest of days and her three gifts of life.

That’s when we can say we truly are blessed.
