We pray they won’t forget the person who cleaned their shoes,
The person who washed their shirts,
And ironed their suits,
The person who made their cup of coffee,
That swept the streets,
Collected the rubbish,
Cooked their breakfast, lunch and dinner,
Organised their day,
That filled their rooms with flowers,
That trimmed the grass and cut the fences,
That fixed their car when it was broken,
That drove them here and there,
That fed the horses when they were thirsty,
Built the homes and buildings which still remain,
The music, artists, writers, dancers, and singers,
The daily news and engineers behind the scenes and screens,
The vendor and supermarket providers
Dressmakers, designers, floor assistants,
Fighting the fires, floods and emergency rooms saving lives,
That rescued them in times of trouble,
Kept them safe from harm,
Educators, consultants, therapists, and doctors of all medicine,
The organisers and drivers of people and lives …
