I wrote You a Poem

I wrote You a Poem by Natasha

I did not sing you a song,

Even though my heart was beating,

I did not play you a melody,

Even though my fingers touch the keys,

I did not draw you a picture,

Even though the colours filled the pages,

I did not write you a love story,

Even though the pen became a keyboard,

I did not design a sculpture for you to admire,

Even though the plaster filled the gaps,

I did not create a theatrical performance for you to enjoy,

Even though the actors and actions were revealed behind the curtain,

I did not dance to swan lake with my ballerina shoes,

Even though the melody of my mind continued to play,

I wrote You a Poem …
