When Death comes Knocking – A Story that will change your mind

Poem – When Death comes Knocking by LN Parker

As the boy lay helpless,

In his hospital bed wounded,

As he received the bloody blows,

Attacked on his streets,

As he lost the will to live,

As the doctors shook their heads,

There’s nothing we can do,

The punctures so deep,

As every breath was harder to take,

As his beautiful face turn a lifeless shade of grey,

Saddened at his life and the broken promises,

As his father whispered in his ear,

“I promise, I promise, I promise,

I will take you to a place where you will be happy,”

As the tears rolled down his face.

I love You, I love You, I love You.

Lifeless as his weak body heard his words,

Were enough to revive his life,

To heal from inside out.

When Death comes Knocking …

"Our story does not define us but our actions will.” When faced with difficult choices in Life, some of our beliefs, self-sabotaging ideas we have about ourselves and others in our relationships will challenge us to take charge.
