The Innocent Child

The word that came up Time and time again today was What happened to that child when they grew up?

“Behind the eyes of a frightened child lives a mask of pain“ Parker

The one who thought beating their child until they bled was love.

The one who burnt holes in her skin with a cigarette was kindness.

The one who chased and hunted him when his only home was sleeping in the park was praise worthy.

The one who verbally insulted others was thoughtfulness.

The one who stalked their prey when no one was looking was confident.

The one who lashed out with their fists was mindful.

The one who stamped, belittled and broke others was caring.

The one who turned a cold shoulder and blind eye was understanding.

The one who cheated, stole, played the game of deceit was truthful.

A Mind full or Mindful?
