A Word of Sunshine

Poem – A Word of Sunshine

Behind each Soul there is a heart of Love,

Behind each Soul there is a creative Mind,

Behind each Soul there is a powerful Will,

Behind each Soul there are endless challenges,

Behind each Soul there are infinite possibilities.

It is only when we listen,

with our heart mind and Soul,

we can understand,

the mask of pain

the Soul’s journey …

He stood tall,

Shoulders bending with the weight,

The sparkle in his deep set dark eyes,

Had disappeared,

Skin a sadden shade of grey,

A sign of the long winter months,

The cold nights and days of desperation,

Engrained as weariness has settled,

Resting on his young physique.

A refuge, a place to call home,

So young, still lost in a snow storm forest,

Searching for a word of comfort,

A helping hand,

A compass to find a way forward,

Far far away from the cold.

Mother Nature had brought him,

A Soul in the depths of darkness …

It’s cold outside,

warm the hearts, minds and Souls

Of everyone you meet with a Word of Sunshine…

"Our story does not define us but our actions will.” When faced with difficult choices in Life, some of our beliefs, self-sabotaging ideas we have about ourselves and others in our relationships will challenge us to take charge.
