More than Words Mindfulness Mindset

As the temperatures rise,
The fires devour landscapes,
Leaving pathways of ashes,
Homes engulfed and destroyed,
Lives walking barefoot in despair.
The wars of energy that continues,
The marching, the gunfire,
Leaving boulders and piles of sadness,
Heartache, tears, bare to the bones.
Their safety and foundations,
Now a pile rubble.
The green gardens turning a golden brown,
Not fit to feed the animals.
The flowers drooping heads,
Like so many lives,
Saddened, looking for water,
To quench their tiredness.
The rivers and lakes run dry,
As do the foundations of families,
Trembling as the cracks surface.
A thunderstorm is on it’s way,
The lightening striking the skies,
So too are the emotional waters rising,
The stressful overload of hearing,
The conflict, the anger, the finger pointing,
