Hurricanes

Category 4/5 2005 as Ian hits Florida I hope you all keep safe and the wonderful people I met there many years ago.

Alone and pregnant bearing a 7th month baby girl and two small boys, as their father had to look after the hundreds of tourists who were unable to leave.

We huddled underneath a bunk bed in the smallest bedroom far away from windows, read stories by candlelight, and splashed in the flower fountain inside. As the winds hurled outside. Day became night and we lost our sense of time and days.

The hurricane had been stationary and caused massive destruction. Hotels installations and foundations were ripped and taken to the oceans beds. The shattered glass of windows lined the beaches and ocean beds, power lines down.

Today we have our own storm in the uk as the financial markets have crashed, a different type of hurricane whirling out of control and the people worried about their safety, security, foundations, homes and family.
